During Orientation Week the University offers an extensive program of activities for commencing students to introduce you to university life, familiarise you with the QUT environment and help you to get to know some of the staff members and students you will be mixing with throughout your studies.
Although most of this program is not compulsory, attending as many sessions as possible will help you to get a head-start at the beginning of your academic life.
Orientation takes you through the steps to construct your personalised program.

International students orientation
Orientation Programs explains the special program of activities that is offered to meet the particular needs of international students who are beginning their studies at QUT. The sessions will help you to complete administrative requirements, meet academic staff and other students, find your way around the University and Brisbane, and develop better study skills. While attendance is optional at most seminars and activities, all international students are required to attend an in-person enrolment session.
