QUT provides a variety of sport and recreational facilities including a 25m indoor heated pool, squash courts, fitness centres, tennis, netball, volleyball and basketball courts, as well as facilities for soccer, football and cricket.
The Student Guild at QUT provides recreational, sport and fitness facilities on campus for the university and wider community. From football to bands and BBQs, the Guild organises a range of leisure opportunities to meet the needs of students on all three campuses for fun, fitness and diversion.

Whether you want to learn a new sport, play socially, compete for your faculty, for QUT or represent your country competing against the best in the world, QUT Student Guild Sport can help you achieve any of these goals.
Trips, tours and courses
Take a break from studying - get involved in some of the QUT Student Guild’s Trips, Tours and Courses which have been tailored, at value prices, to suit all student budgets.
The Trips, Tours and Courses program changes every semester so look out for the 'Good Time Guide' at the Orientation week events and throughout the semester for more details.
Each semester we offer activities ranging from dance classes, boot camp, qualifications such as the Senior First Aid Certificate, Responsible Service of Alcohol, Austswim and referee courses.
The recreation portfolio has joined together with Student Flights to offer discounted day trips and activities, including hot air ballooning, Story Bridge Adventure Climbs, Gold Coast theme park trips, Australia Zoo, and wine tours. There are package trips around Australia as well as New Zealand, Thailand and Bali.

Clubs

International students
For international students, International Student Services promotes recreation and travel activities, and organises trips to enjoy new experiences such as surfing at the Gold Coast, island safaris and horse riding.
