QUT provides assistance for supervisors to perform duties such as writing duty statements, advertising positions, inducting new staff members, and evaluating study assistance requests, through Guidelines for supervisors which sets out the University’s expectations of its supervisory staff.

This guide covers topics such as affirmative action, equal employment opportunities, flexible working hours, freedom of information and sexual and racial harassment.

Look here when appointing staff for information about job evaluation, recruitment and selection, induction and orientation, higher duties allowances, hours of work, incremental progression, overtime and leave entitlements.

Guidelines for supervisors includes information about the University’s performance management program, staff development, rehabilitation and workers’ compensation.
