Students can obtain support and information about obtaining AUSTUDY and other allowances at the University.
The Student Guild offers welfare services, support and advocacy to all QUT students. The Student Guild also provides various services and assistance such as legal, immigration and tax advice.
Students who are in financial difficulties may be able to obtain assistance through the Student Financial Assistance Scheme.
Information about study support payments such as the Youth Allowance, AUSTUDY, ABSTUDY, the Pensioner Education Supplement and the Student Financial Supplement Scheme is available from the Commonwealth Government Centrelink site.
